Step-by-step retrofit

What can you do when essen­tial machine com­po­nents are no longer avail­able or when the machine in gen­eral needs to be mod­ernised in order to main­tain its pro­duc­tivity and thus increase the machine’s ser­vice life? What’s the situation with CE?

On 20 Jan­uary 2027, the Machinery Reg­u­la­tion will replace the long-standing Machinery Direc­tive. From this key date, dec­la­ra­tions of con­for­mity must meet the new require­ments. The safety status of machinery must be val­i­dated at reg­ular inter­vals. On three dif­ferent, com­pre­hen­sive levels, it will soon be pos­sible for machine man­u­fac­turers or oper­a­tors to imple­ment this type of val­i­da­tion even more effi­ciently.
