The start-up burners were con\u00adtrolled by only one module, while flame mon\u00adi\u00adtoring occurred via UV cells at the igni\u00adtion. As a result, trou\u00adbleshooting became a puzzle: if a UV cell was defec\u00adtive the whole mill stopped. Restart dragged on because unburned gases con\u00adtaining nitrogen had to be expelled first. And the defec\u00adtive UV cell had to be replaced \u2013 although one never knew which UV lamp actu\u00adally failed. As this little story demon\u00adstrates: time is an impor\u00adtant factor in areas where fire and its asso\u00adciates define the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion activ\u00adi\u00adties. Not only the smooth but above all the safe oper\u00ada\u00adtion of this type of mill depends on the right timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They reli\u00adably manage, for example, the mon\u00adi\u00adtoring of pres\u00adsure, tem\u00adper\u00ada\u00adture and flames, safe run-through of the sequence for starting up and switching off the burner instal\u00adla\u00adtion or even the safe mon\u00adi\u00adtoring of the fuel\/air ratio.
