The tools that are often used on press brakes tend to push con\u00adven\u00adtional safety devices to their limits for var\u00adious rea\u00adsons. Espe\u00adcially on com\u00adpact machinery: space is in short supply. Not with PSENvip 2 \u2013 the size of the receiver module is reduced by about half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special use for protection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In line with the stan\u00addard EN 12622, each bending line must be pro\u00adtected by a pro\u00adtected field that is posi\u00adtioned in the fac\u00adtory at least 15 mm in front. The chal\u00adlenge and require\u00adment in com\u00adplying with the nor\u00adma\u00adtive spec\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion is that the tool is com\u00adpletely within the pro\u00adtec\u00adtion sys\u00adtem\u2019s field of vision. PSENvip and the second, extended gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion PSENvip 2 meet these stan\u00addard spec\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtions. In com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adtion with the automa\u00adtion system PSS 4000, the inte\u00adgrated \u201cFast Analysis Unit\u201d guar\u00adan\u00adtees shut\u00addown times of under one mil\u00adlisecond and the shortest stop\u00adping dis\u00adtances for the press brake tool. The camera system is installed at the side on the upper die and deter\u00admines the mea\u00adsure\u00adment data; the bending angle module eval\u00adu\u00adates all deter\u00admined mea\u00adsure\u00adment data on the bending con\u00adtour of the sheet and pro\u00advides it to the machine visu\u00adal\u00adi\u00adsa\u00adtion via a stan\u00addard inter\u00adface. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The image data trans\u00admitted to the con\u00adtrol system directly shows the oper\u00adating per\u00adsonnel the cur\u00adrent angle mea\u00adsure\u00adment on the oper\u00adating dis\u00adplay during press braking. This enables a fast and effi\u00adcient check of the achieved bending angle. Labo\u00adrious manual mea\u00adsure\u00adments or expen\u00adsive angle mea\u00adsure\u00adment sys\u00adtems that take up space are not needed. The tech\u00adno\u00adlog\u00adical basis for meeting the high nor\u00adma\u00adtive spec\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtions are pow\u00aderful optics with LED light as well as the robust design of the pro\u00adtec\u00adtion system which is insen\u00adsi\u00adtive to reflec\u00adtions as well as external and stray light. \u201cAs was already the case with the pre\u00adde\u00adcessor, with PSENvip 2 instal\u00adla\u00adtion, con\u00adfig\u00adu\u00adra\u00adtion and com\u00admis\u00adsioning can also be easily per\u00adformed directly via a web inter\u00adface,\u201d adds Karsten Trautvetter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLow speed\u201d phase as highlight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

An effec\u00adtive con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtion to increasing pro\u00adduc\u00adtivity is also made by dynamic muting: With a con\u00adven\u00adtional muting pro\u00adce\u00addure, the upper tool con\u00adsis\u00adtently moves the last mil\u00adlime\u00adtres at the per\u00admis\u00adsible safe speed of 10 mm per second. With dynamic muting of the pro\u00adtec\u00adtion system PSENvip 2 in com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adtion with the \u201cFast Analysis Unit\u201d, the upper tool dynam\u00adi\u00adcally reduces its speed to a min\u00adimum from the ini\u00adtial 300 mm per second across a \u201cslow route\u201d. The press brake tool does not travel at \u201clow speed\u201d until the last mil\u00adlimetre before making con\u00adtact with the work\u00adpiece. \u201cLow speed\u201d is thus the guar\u00adantee for \u201cfast\u201d press brakes: \u201cBy using camera-based pro\u00adtec\u00adtion system PSENvip 2 and automa\u00adtion system PSS 4000, we have ver\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adably increased the pro\u00adduc\u00adtivity of our press brakes by around 20 per\u00adcent,\u201d claims Karsten Trautvetter. \u201cCom\u00adpared to models with com\u00adpa\u00adrable pressing force, our press brakes are more respon\u00adsive and more effi\u00adcient!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
