You could also go fur\u00adther and say that the admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion shell is an imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion (some would say \u201cTHE\u201d imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion) of the \u201cdig\u00adital twin\u201d, and so also rep\u00adre\u00adsents the basis for Industry 4.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does an administration shell look like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion shell is divided into sub\u00admodels, whereby each sub\u00admodel is intended to cover one aspect or use case. Ulti\u00admately, sub\u00admodels are groups of char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adis\u00adtics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Knowl\u00adedge about the behav\u00adiour can then be used for sim\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions in con\u00adjunc\u00adtion with other com\u00adpo\u00adnents, for example, in order to iden\u00adtify any prob\u00adlems prior to actual com\u00admis\u00adsioning. \u201cDigital nameplate\u201d submodel <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The name\u00adplate is an impor\u00adtant sub\u00admodel of the admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion shell because it con\u00adtains basic infor\u00adma\u00adtion about the asset. The dig\u00adital twin con\u00adsists of the admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion shell and its sub\u00admodels. This com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adtion forms the basis for Industry 4.0, as it enables global access to com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive and dynam\u00adi\u00adcally adapt\u00adable device infor\u00adma\u00adtion. This infor\u00adma\u00adtion can be dis\u00adplayed on almost any dis\u00adplay, elim\u00adi\u00adnating the need for paper doc\u00adu\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion.
