An expert from Pilz took a look at the appli\u00adca\u00adtion on site and rec\u00adom\u00admended a system in which the presses can be oper\u00adated semi-auto\u00admat\u00adi\u00adcally in com\u00adpli\u00adance with the stan\u00addards. Now the machine oper\u00adator is con\u00adverting all the presses on the line, thereby increasing the safety and com\u00adpet\u00adi\u00adtive\u00adness of its presses. The improved cycle time also saves costs. Stan\u00addards and laws are in con\u00adstant flux. The Pilz team plays an active role in around 45 stan\u00addards com\u00admit\u00adtees at inter\u00adna\u00adtional level, helping to shape approx\u00adi\u00admately 70 product and appli\u00adca\u00adtion stan\u00addards. Stan\u00addards are impor\u00adtant because they set uni\u00adform product bench\u00admarks and pro\u00advide a basis for com\u00adpar\u00adison for com\u00adplete solu\u00adtions \u2013 this pro\u00advides the market trans\u00adparency<\/a> that sup\u00adpliers and users need. This was the project for a US global player: to assess and opti\u00admise the safety of its fleet of machinery, con\u00adsisting of sev\u00aderal hun\u00addred machines in more than 20 fac\u00adto\u00adries on 4 con\u00adti\u00adnents. The Pilz national sub\u00adsidiary in the USA mas\u00adtered this task in con\u00adjunc\u00adtion with the Global Ser\u00advice Group by actively building knowl\u00adedge through training and qual\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtions: Pilz trained almost 300 of the com\u00adpa\u00adny\u2019s safety offi\u00adcers in machinery safety and the legal require\u00adments of the respec\u00adtive country. Around 100 of these employees are now cer\u00adti\u00adfied machinery safety experts. Together they ensured that over 64,000 of the US com\u00adpa\u00adny\u2019s machines could be assessed in accor\u00addance with inter\u00adna\u00adtional safety stan\u00addards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Certified safety experts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pilz pro\u00advides an inter\u00adna\u00adtional training and qual\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion pro\u00adgramme for com\u00adpa\u00adnies wishing to build up or update their knowl\u00adedge. Luis Armando is the senior engi\u00adneer for automa\u00adtion tech\u00adnology at Jabil in Guadala\u00adjara (Mexico), a global sup\u00adplier of pro\u00adduc\u00adtion solu\u00adtions. He has an impor\u00adtant goal in sight: to cer\u00adtify the oper\u00ada\u00adtion of \u201chis\u201d machinery in accor\u00addance with the reg\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtions and there\u00adfore guar\u00adantee safety. The engi\u00adneer became the 10,000th grad\u00aduate to earn a qual\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion from Pilz as CMSE \u2013 Cer\u00adti\u00adfied Machinery Safety Expert. Now there are many Jabil employees world\u00adwide who have joined him, gaining the CMSE qual\u00adi\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion, approved and awarded by T\u00dcV NORD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
