Mr Aro, what are your duties as Regional Vice President at Pilz?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

In my role I form the link between head office and the sub\u00adsidiaries. On the one hand, it\u2019s a case of imple\u00admenting the cor\u00adpo\u00adrate strategy in the indi\u00advidual mar\u00adkets. On the other, it\u2019s just as impor\u00adtant to me to hear the cus\u00adtomers\u2019 voices and feed back to the com\u00adpany. We need the cus\u00adtomer as a spar\u00adring partner, to fur\u00adther strengthen our capacity for inno\u00adva\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you feel is particularly important?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

I want to bring people with me \u2013 strate\u00adgi\u00adcally and tech\u00adno\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcally. And I am com\u00admitted to the joint devel\u00adop\u00adment of appro\u00adpriate frame\u00adwork con\u00addi\u00adtions, so that we can work closely and well with cus\u00adtomers, and con\u00adtinue to grow sus\u00adtain\u00adably and prof\u00aditably as a com\u00adpany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You haven\u2019t been at Pilz very long. How do you perceive the company?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

I admire the crystal-clear posi\u00adtioning, as well as the strong guiding prin\u00adciple \u201cThe Spirit of Safety\u201d, which drives the com\u00adpany. Not many com\u00adpa\u00adnies have that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is occupying the automation and engineering market in Europe?<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The last few years I have been working in elec\u00adtronics man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adturing. After the pan\u00addemic, delivery bot\u00adtle\u00adnecks, and most recently also the Ukraine war, there is an increasing ten\u00addency to move pro\u00adduc\u00adtion to Europe, or nearer to the end cus\u00adtomer. This is rein\u00adforced by the desire for greater resilience and sus\u00adtain\u00adability. I expect devel\u00adop\u00adments like this in other sec\u00adtors too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And then of course there\u2019s digi\u00adti\u00adsa\u00adtion and arti\u00adfi\u00adcial intel\u00adli\u00adgence: How can I use tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies such as machine learning, for example, to opti\u00admise machine processes, or build them com\u00adpletely into data-driven ser\u00advice models? I antic\u00adi\u00adpate some exciting devel\u00adop\u00adments in this area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How\u00adever, more digi\u00adti\u00adsa\u00adtion also makes it vul\u00adner\u00adable. The key\u00adword is Indus\u00adtrial Secu\u00adrity. There is a huge need for training and con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion. Pilz can play an impor\u00adtant role in bridging this gap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
